How to pack Dishes
In this article we will help you learn how to pack dishes for moving or for storing them properly in a warehouse.
The first thing you need to do is set up a working station so that you can have a comfortable working area, better place it as close as it can be to your dishes. You can use your dining table for that. It would offer you a large and stable working area to handle your packing process.
In order To pack your dishes you will need the following packing materials:
- Dish box at the size of 15 or 18 cf.
- Packing paper.
- Bubble wrap.
- Moving tape.
It is important to use a proper dish box that is designed to store dishes, can handle the weight of the dishes and protect them.
Here is a packing tip – place the dish box or a chair, or any other high surface so that you won’t have to bend over any time you need to place an item inside the box.
When you set up your dish box use a large amount of moving tape to secure the box; the weight of the dishes is heavy and you want to make sure the box will not open from its bottom while lifting it.
Packing dishes – how to pack plates
The first step is to place 2 layers of bubble wrap on the bottom of the box. When you buy your bubble wrap get the one with the big bubbles, this is the kind of protection your dishes need, since the bubble wrap with the small bubble will not give them the right protection and won’t do much help.
Some say the best way to protect your dishes is to place them vertically inside the dish pack, so if the moving truck will bounce during the travel the dishes won’t break.
