When moving long distance or locally it’s important to make sure all of our goods are properly protected, to prevent them from receiving damage and causing damage.
People tend to think that a sofa can be shipped easily without any damage. Since a sofa is a large item, usually made from solid materials, but we are not aware of how much damage a sofa can receive and cause if not properly packed and protected.
Unprotected sofa damage
For example, an unprotected sofa, packed just with moving blankets can cause damage to your walls while moving it outside your home and it can also cause damage to other furniture and moving boxes inside the moving truck while in transit.
On the other hand, your sofa can receive large amounts of damage while in transit; your main concern is to protect and prevent damage to the fabric or lather plus the sofa legs.
When moving, the common damage for sofas is caused by liquid that can damage the fabric or lather color. Besides that concern, any kind of liquid that will be in contact with the sofa can cause an appearance of mold on your sofa.
The second type of damage that can appear while moving an unprotected sofa is fabric, lather rips or broken sofa legs.
The third damage that can be caused to your sofa is any kind of bugs that can find your sofa as their new home.
